It has almost become a ritual that any place team India travels to these days and any team they play up against, they will come back home with a trophy. Or better yet they just reroute to another country, go there and win another one on the trot. First Ireland, then England and now West Indies. The men in blue are in some serious form and they will be looking to make sure that they continue the same run at least till November when the T20 World Cup ends.

We are all set for the 3rd ODI between West Indies and India but this series is already a dead rubber as India are already 2-0 up. What will make the team management even more happier is that every time India needed someone to stand up, it was a new face every time. A new player bailed them out of trouble every time they needed someone to.

What also stands out is how India have suddenly found some very good finishers in the middle order and the lower middle order. Ever since Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni retired, there was a huge void that was haunting team India across formats across years. But it seems now that they have found answers. And not just answers but plenty of answers. From Karthik to Pant, Hardik to Axar Patel to Ravindra Jadeja. And maybe even Lord Shardul Thakur if he finds some form. India suddenly have a lot of options for the finisher’s role across all formats.

The batting is already beaming with a lot of options. The bowlers are doing well. And now the finishers have joined the party. These are good omens for team India in a World Cup year. After being 2-0 up in a 3-match series and also with a 5 T20I series coming up, India will be looking to give some key players some rest and give some new faces a shot at the biggest stage of them all. Who are you excited to see play?

West Indies vs India 3rd ODI Pitch Report

This is the same ground where 300+ runs were scored in both games. However, a different pitch will be used and it might be a touch on the slower side. Showers are expected and there might be short interventions due to rain. It might be a start/stop kind of a day. Expected the captain winning the toss to bowl first due to rain.
