Former England captain Michael Vaughan says that India is making unnecessary changes to their playing XI, without justification.

After their victory, India dropped Suryakumar Yadav and replaced him with Rohit Sharma who opened the innings with KL Rahul.

Some even even to the extent of saying that Kohli is jealous or insecure about Yadav! (Jalta hai Surya Se!)

While Vaughan hasn’t made any personal attacks, he has nevertheless questioned the cricketing logic.

Due to Rohit’s inclusion, newcomer Ishan Kishan, who scored a fifty on his India debut, was pushed to No. 3 and Kohli dropped down to No. 4.

“You’re up against the best team in the world and it very much reminded me of England in the Test series. Chopped and changed everything, and they are not that great a Test match team. This Indian T20 team is not that good,” Vaughan said.

Vaughan also believes that the Indian T20 squad is really missing the services of 2 key players – Jadeja and Bumrah.

Jadeja is nursing a thumb fracture while Bumrah took leave owing to his marriage.

“You get an extra bowling option and a left-hand batting power with Jadeja and a world-class performer in Jasprit Bumrah,” Vaughan said.
