Yep, it’s official! This IPL is an IPL of thrillers and some very close contests. Today’s game also promises to be another very huge thriller. There have been a lot of good games and some very good performances. Another super thriller awaits us Lucknow Super Giants take on the mighty Chennai Super Kings.
Both teams are coming into this game with a loss in their opening game. One of the biggest problems for both these teams will be to find their formidable playing XI even though it is early days in the tournament.
After how Lucknow Super Giants started off their innings and looking how they lost a flurry of wickets, they will be looking to make sure that they don’t make it a habit and they will be looking for solidarity in their batting. However, they also have a lot of positives to take from the previous game – Ayush Badoni’s innings, Krunal Pandya’s economical bowling and Deepak Hooda’s amazing knock and the bowling of their spinners. They will now be looking to gather some momentum and start their IPL campaign swiftly and nicely.
Chennai Super Kings on the other hand will not be pondering so much on their loss. They are seasoned campaigners and they are a team who start off rather slowly and then makes up for it in the business end of the innings. Chennai Super Kings will be happy after the return of Moen Ali. Even though Chennai started off their innings slowly, they will be happy seeing how a stress-free Dhoni came and changed the course of their batting innings. And that in itself seems like a bigger joy of happiness for CSK and Dhoni fans instead of the two points.
It is still very early stages in the tournament and it will be hard to pick a winner considering the teams are new. But on paper, Lucknow Super Giants definitely seem like the better side. But hey this is IPL and this is the Chennai Super Kings we are talking about. Can any team be smarter than them?
