BCCI is making every attempt to complete IPL 2021.
The tournament was suspended in the first week of May due to the rising cases of COVID-19 within the bio-bubbles.
As per latest reports, IPL 2021 is likely to resume on September 19 or September 20 and run till October 10 in UAE.
The priority is to complete the tournament before the ICC T20 World Cup.
The remaining 31 matches of IPL 2021 might be be split into 10 double headers, 7 single headers and 4 playoffs in a 21-day window before the T20 World Cup.
The Caribbean Premier League, that was supposed to be held from August 28 to September 19, will be rescheduled.
Also, there is still no clarity on the venue for the T20 World Cup, although it is likely to be held in UAE.
The BCCI wants to have a two-week window from end of IPL to start of World Cup, in order to avoid player fatigue.
