The second half of the Indian Premier League is now back from the 19th of September to complete the remainder of the tournament. As teams start their second phase of the IPL at the UAE, some teams are certainly less happy than the others as far as conditions are concerned. Teams like Chennai Super Kings had a torrid time last year when they were here knowing that these are not the conditions that suit their game. Also the fact that they were having such a great run at the starting of the tournament in India would also make their task seem even more bitter. However, now it is what it is and all teams will somehow cope-up with all these challenges one way or the other.

The Second phase of the Indian Premier League will have 31 matches where there will be 10 double headers, 7 single headers and 4 finals’ games. With the success the tournament had last year in UAE, consider this year’s IPL to get even spicier and action packed with a lot of twists and turns.

Second Phase of IPL starts with a bang, CSK win thriller by 20 runs

Chennai Super Kings were up against Mumbai Indians in the first game of IPL’s second phase. And when the two most successful teams in the competition come up against each other, there are some surprises in store for sure.

CSK won the toss and chose to bat first but they had a very bad start and they were reeling at 20/4 and all seemed to be done and dusted. And then Ruturaj Gaikwad played a blinder of an innings to score 88 from 58 and helped Chennai register 156 in 20 overs. They went on to script a magical win by 20 runs. Bravo took 3 wickets and helped script them an amazing comeback to start the tournament with a bang.
