Denmark are through to the quarter finals of Euro 2020.

Despite starting the tournament with two losses and the traumatic incident involving their talisman, Christian Eriksen, they still managed to qualify from the group.

Today, they delivered another attacking master class to demolish Wales 4-0 in the round of 16.

Wales started out with pressure and Bale went close to scoring but couldn’t get enough curve on it.

Following the first fifteen minutes, Denmark started gaining control of the game.

In the 27th minute of the game, Dolberg scored a sublime curling kick from outside the box to give Denmark the lead.

The first half finished 1-0.

In the second half, Wales failed to get their passing in order.

The direct result resulted in the second goal for Demark.

In the 48th minute, a failed clearance from Neco Williams fell to Dolberg and he scored from inside the box to get his brace.

Joakhim Maehle scored a goal in the 88th minute to destroy any hopes Wales might have had, of mounting a comeback.

The Barcelona forward, Martin Braithwaite struck with his left foot in the 90th minute to make it 4-0.

Denmark broke two records today as they became the first team to score 4 goals in consecutive matches.

In the previous match, they registered a 4-1 win over Russia.

They also became the first team to get to the quarter finals despite losing their first two games.

Denmark are known to over perform at the Euros and famously won the tournament in 1992.

Looking at their current form, it’ll be a folly to write them off!
